The stunning views of the surrounding moorland, forest, and coastline made me feel like I was in a postcard-worthy setting. The friendly, family-run shops in the small market town offered a personal service that even city dwellers would appreciate. The nearby trails in Rosedale and Farndale provided a beautiful contrast between the rural moorland and the ruins of the ironstone industry. The former railway track between Whitby and Scarborough treated me to spectacular coastal vistas. The fully equipped kitchen in the room, complete with a dishwasher, allowed me to easily prepare meals with fresh local produce.
Traffic noise from the main Whitby Road was a minor issue.

The communication from the hosts was excellent and the cottage was clean and well-equipped. We also enjoyed the location, which was conveniently located near shops and restaurants.
the living space was extremely cold, with no door or radiator in the kitchen and a lot of draughts coming through the front door. This made it uncomfortable to spend time in the cottage.

The communication with the hosts was excellent, they were friendly and helpful. the cottage itself was lovely, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay. the location was great, with easy access to local shops and restaurants, and it served as a convenient starting point for exploring other areas nearby.
The main road location may bother some guests due to traffic noise. the downstairs area of the cottage was a bit dark, and it was inconvenient to have the bathroom located on the lower level.
